When the Grinch Stole Christmas was a pretty big deal when I was a kid. Especially that last scene, where the Grinch looks over Whoville and realizes celebrating Christmas wasn’t about material things for them; instead, Christmas was about people coming together in love and friendship. He looked shocked when his tiny heart grew three times its size, nearly bursting out of his hairy, green chest. I sat there, probably ten years old, gasping because, indeed, that is how my heart felt on a regular basis.
