Who: Concerned youth
What: Dressed in a top hat and tuxedo, the sweepstakes Master of ceremonies has passersbys
fill out a sweepstakes ballot indicating where they would rather the billions given to oil and gas
companies be spent, whether to health care, education, or elsewhere, to launch a new nation-
wide campaign to end subsidies to the multi-billion dollar fossil fuel industry.
Where: Terry Fox Statue across from Parliament Hill, near Wellington and Metcalfe, Ottawa
When: Thursday June 7, 10AM-Noon
Why: To send a message to the Canadian government to stop giving our tax dollars away to
subsidize oil and gas companies
