PowerShift Alberta will be the third regional PowerShift gathering in Canada after PowerShift BC in October 2013, and PowerShift Atlantic in 2014. Bringing together hundreds of youth from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, the North, and beyond, we're gearing up to make this the biggest climate justice gathering the prairies have ever seen.
PowerShift Alberta will be held in Amiskwaciwâskahikan in Treaty 6 Territory from April 1-3, 2016. The majority of programming will take place at a the University of Alberta with some social events off campus.

Payment can be made at registration on Friday and Saturday by cash or cheque made out to Polaris Institute - CYCC.
Registration costs cover the cost of venue rental, speaker and facilitator costs, conference overhead and more for PowerShift and are heavily subsidized by fundraising and sponsorship.
Bursaries to cover some or all of registration costs are available (application here). Those applying for a bursary should register here to secure your spot rather than purchase a ticket online. Bursary applications will be considered on a rolling basis and participants will be notified of the status of their application no later than March 22nd, 2016.
Volunteers who commit to work a minimum of 3 shifts over the weekend are eligible for reduced or waived registration fees, but are encouraged to pay registration if the are able as part of every registration goes to supporting the Frontline Scholarship fund. Volunteer tasks include working the registration booth, handing out programs, giving directions and answering questions, and set up and take down of events.
